Also known as micropigmentation is a form of cosmetic tattooing whereby pharmaceutical grade pigments are implanted into the upper dermis of the skin to achieve life-changing results.
Eyebrows, eyeliner and Lip liner/blush treatments continue to be the most demanded and talked about treatments in the industry today, however, we are seeing our skills increasingly used for cosmetic and medical purposes to compliment the work of surgeons and aesthetic practitioners alike.
With our hectic lifestyles and the constant pressures to look our best at all times, permanent makeup has become a growing trend for ladies and men all over the world
The Feathered Realism Brow
Our signature micro-bladed concept is enduringly popular with our growing list of clients. Whether you’re looking for a subtle enhancement to your natural brow or an entirely new bolder brow, microblading is a versatile treatment for clients looking to transform their brows and to achieve a natural, soft and realistic result.
Tiny precise strokes mimic the effect of real brow hair and are created by hand with a tool that imitates the natural direction, lengths and flow of your natural brow. Pigments are then implanted into the upper dermal layers of the skin. Clients often ask whether the procedure is painful – the sensation is similar to a soft scratch with minimal discomfort.
Unsurprisingly, the technique’s unparalleled natural finish has made it increasingly popular in recent months and we’re proud to have completed the procedure on many happy clients.

Here at Samantha Hume permanent make-up we have designed a number of enhancement procedures to meet the growing demands of our male clients.
It is no longer a secret that modern men can be just as concerned about their appearance, but often don’t want to actually wear, or look like they’re wearing, make-up. So with the help of permanent cosmetics we enhance our male clients’ facial features to make a natural- looking yet effective difference.
Hair loss can have huge impact on your confidence and self-esteem, but through the art of
tattooing we’re able to restore your natural brow and lash line, whether your hair was lost
through alopecia, scarring (e.g. after sporting accidents), illness, ageing or hereditary
Botox can create a smoother, fresher-looking finish to your face as it temporarily relaxes the muscles that can cause lines and wrinkles. Most commonly Botox is used to combat crow’s feet and lines between the brows and on the forehead and repeated treatments cause the lines to gradually fade for younger, fresher-looking skin.
New customers will receive an initial consultation where we’ll discuss your medical history to make sure you’re suitable for Botox. We explain any potential side effects and answer any questions you may have about your suitability for the treatments or about the procedure itself. Botox isn’t suitable for everyone and we’ll always be upfront and advise you on whether it’s an option for you. We’ll also cover your post-treatment care in your consultation so you know exactly what to expect at every stage before you book in.
Naturally one of the most common questions customers ask is “does it hurt”. Botox is injected via a very fine needle and customers report more of a discomfort than actual pain. Treatment typically takes around 10 minutes to administer and if you have a particularly low pain threshold then we can apply a numbing cream prior to your procedure. You’ll usually start noticing the results of your treatment about 4 days afterwards, with the full effects usually achieved in around 2 weeks. We offer follow-up reviews after 2 weeks and customers can expect the effects to last as long as 4 months.
At Samantha Hume permanent make-up all our treatments start with a free consultation.
This is designed to be a relaxed, informal chat to give you the opportunity to discuss your individual needs and let us know exactly what you’re looking for from your treatment. We always aim to provide you with all the information you need to make a more informed decision. During the consultation you’ll be given a sensitivity patch test that you need to apply at least 24–48 hours prior to your treatment.
